Dear Calabasas Teacher,
We can begin to use this space to create an "idea bank." The concept is simple: We can all "deposit" ideas and suggestions into the bank and "withdraw" ideas as needed.
Say you just learned about a great idea for celebrating the 100th day of school, you used it with your class and it went well. You are thinking, "wow I really want to let others know about this great activity." You would log onto our blog, and post your idea as a comment. As everyone follows the blog, and they come across your idea--presto, it's shared!
Along the same lines, let's say you are at a loss for what to do with your class for the 100th day of school. You log-on to the blog and search for "100th day of school activities" and pull up the post from the teacher above. You may also creat a comment simply stating your need for "activity ideas for celebrating 100th day of school with my students..."
We will also be using this space to offer feedback, opinions and suggestions on various other topics that affect our learning community.
Enjoy, learn, think and inspire!

ReplyDeleteThis is a wonderful way to communicate with teachers that we don't often see and the ones we see only in passing. Thanks for setting up this site. Way to go Fellow Calabasans! We finally see a glimpse of civilization!
ReplyDeleteI understand that Pajama Day is going to be postponed until 3/2 in honor of Read Around America Day. Great idea! I was planning on having a reading day anyway. We will be doing independent reading, partner reading, guest readers... Is anyone interested in a class buddy read? Lisa P.
ReplyDeleteI'd love to have buddy readers on Monday!
ReplyDeleteThanks,
